Austin has had major roles in numerous TV shows, such as “The Bold & The Beautiful” and “Roots”. He has also co-starred and starred in feature films, most notably as “MacDonald” in “Battle For The Planet Of The Apes” and “Lt. Ethan Bishop” in John Carpenter’s “Assault On Precinct 13 ”.

Growing up in Port-Of-Spain, Trinidad – “The Land Of Calypso” – Austin always wanted to perform from an early age. He left for New York and a career in the “Theatre” – first appearing in “House Of Flowers” on Broadway – as well as to perform in night-clubs such as The Village Vanguard and The Blue Angel.

During the period referred to as the “Blaxploitation Era”, Austin starred in “Sheba Baby” and “Abby”. Austin resides in Los Angeles where he continues to work as an actor, as well as an acting teacher, coach, and is also dramaturge for The Caribbean-American Repertory Theatre, West (CART,WEST). He also continues to gain wide attention from fans; and his most recent assignment was providing the “liner notes” for the sound-track album to coincide with the Blue Ray release of Assault On Precinct 13.
